Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)
The former German number one is currently nursing a serious knee injury, and has been replaced by Bernd Leno at the BayArena. Leno was signed as an emergency goalkeeper, but injury to Fabien Giefer helped him become the first-choice
goalkeeper.
Leno has been in superb form throughout the season, and has won praise from few of the top clubs across Europe.
Adler is close to making a return from injury, but Leno’s impressive form means that he will have to sit on the benches. Fearing that, the German has already expressed his desire to part ways with the Werkself in the upcoming winter
transfer window. Schalke and Hamburg are both reportedly interested in signing the shot-stopper.
The 26-year-old is yet to play a game in the 2011/12 season.

Adler’s teammate, Michael Ballack, is another player who is heavily linked with a move away from BayArena. However, the fact that Leverkusen have qualified for the last 16 round of the UEFA Champions League might stop the German
from leaving the club.
Ballack is currently in his second spell at the BayArena, and will run out of contract at the end of this season. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 star has been in impressive form since his arrival at the club in 2010, but injuries have restricted
him to just 16 appearances this season.

recently. Shenhua are likely to resist Leverkusen’s resolve by offering a fee close to 5 million Euros for the midfielder.
Having retired from the international scene earlier this year, Ballack will be tempted to move abroad since he is not fighting for a Euro 2012 place.
