I'm thinking about getting a bunny and I've done some research, but what breed do you recomend? Do you have one at home and what breed is it? How does it behave?

  1. i have two house rabbits.  my girl is a mini rex (3.5 pounds).  my boy is a mixed breed lop (4.5 pounds).  breed does not matter as much as personality.  i suggest you check out some animal shelters or rescues near you (type your area code into www.Petfinder.com and search rabbits).  you would be amazed how many wonderful rabbits are waiting for their forever homes.  usually the rescues spay/neuter them AND litterbox train them for you, so you can get the benefit of a clean, calm, friendly rabbit.  good luck!

  2. JERSEY WOOLIES!!!  i breed these and i just love their temperament. that's how i decided to breed them. sure they've got longer wool, but i only brush mine once a month or when i have a show to go to.  I LOVE THEM!!!

  3. Well i like netherland dwarfs they are tiny! But holland lops are normally and it seems like everyones rabbits are holland lops and can you blame them? I have one that will chase me around and cuddle with me. :D

  4. holland lops are pretty cute

  5. I raise Holland Lops and I love them. My rabbits come running to the front of their cages to give me kisses when I go out to feed or handle them and some will even follow me around like a puppy. Their maximum senior (adult) weight is 4 lbs., so they're nice and small. And their personalities are wonderful. I'd highly suggested them to anyone.
