Ok my female rabbit is about 4 years. She lives with another female rabbit. Anyway she is kind of overweight. Well maybe a week ago I noticed she doesn't have any hair like right around her moth and nose. I am really worried. Can anyone tell me what this might be, or what I should do.

<> Don't just tell me to go see the vet, tell me why I have to. Thanks.

 1. Well it could be that your rabbit is getting older. My dog has no hair on her neck or ears and they said it was because of age. But if it continues to lose hair in large amounts go see a vet because this is not normal. Dont worry.

 2. I don't think it would be mites because if they are on the rabbit usually it will be red or itchy. If it starts looking sorta raw and smooth you could try rubbing some antibiotic ointment on it. Our rabbit has sort-of the same thing and the ointment healed it. Otherwise I am sure it is fine.

 3. It may be from old age if it gets Raw or very irritated put some antibiotic ointmint on it,if she is in the same cage as the other bunny the other one may be Territorialand ripping its fur out??
