Burglary sentences in England?

How many months/ years in jail would someone expect to get for burgling a house ( Just breaking in, and stealing things )

I take it you could be in trouble then, i think it can be anywhere from 4-10 years depending on what you/or whoever stole and how much you/or whoever terrorized the people living in that house.  People who commit burglary are the biggest low life scum of the earth,besides paedos,murderers and rapists. How can anyone just enter someones house un-invited and take things which is normally valuble jewellry or electrical goods that people have worked so hard to pay for. I dont know how they sleep at night. So "IF" this question is based on you then you deserve everything you get.
