Have you been or do you know anyone who has been affected by the cyclone in Burma, the quake in China, the fires in Florida, or the tornadoes in the US midwest?

I live in middle Georgia, and while there were only a few deaths here because of the tornado, GA was greatly affected. Already, there has been around $75 million dollars worth of damage in my county, and schools were destroyed, leaving the local officials with the problem of getting students through the end of the shool year with no facilities.
