  1. Yes, you can use a CD-rw to remove DRM from songs, but can't remove the DRM by using a DVD-rw cause there is no player supports DVD burning, and the professional DVD burner don't supports protected music formats, and I have tried that (Nero + iTunes M4P, M4V).

Or you can use a converter to convert both the protected audio and videos with one step:

    http://www.wmatomp3-converter.com/digita...

It can convert iTunes DRM files (M4P, M4V, M4A, M4B) and Windows Media DRM files (WMV, WMA) to any audio and video formats. And also perform all types of standard conversion including video to video, video to audio, audio to audio and EVEN high-definition video (M2TS, TP, TRP, TS, AVI)

  2. You need a program such as:  http://www.dvdfab.com/  to remove the protection and decode. Then you can burn to a DVD+RW or DVD+R   (one use)

DVD+RW only means Rewritable. You can record, erase and use again

    Hmmmmmmm,,,,I guess I didn't.

BTW, How does a  CD-rw remove DRM protection?  I've always had to use a program to remove any type of protection with a DVD or CD. I wonder if I'm the only one ?

Maybe I've been missing something good and a lot easier without knowing about it.

According to your second statement, you only have to use a CD-rw disc to eliminate the protection. I'll try it sometime........

I guess these people wasted their time writing these programs:
