Burnaby's Historical Museum/Village? Anyone Know It?

I haven't been there since the third grade, and for some reason, I'm so positive that this place is somewhere in Burnaby (Mark me if I'm wrong. lol!).

From all I remember, it's based in the 80-90s and it's like a "hand's on" museum where there are stores of what it would have been like back then. Schools in which you actually get to sit down for several minutes and get the experience of schooling back in the old days. Um, post offices where they explain how things were sent and printed.

There are also workers that portrays the postman, the school lady, etc.

It's sort of hard to explain, but it's like that museum, Fort Langley. A recreation of the site that allows visitors to wander freely and experience it.

It used to be called Heritage Village but now its Burnaby Village Museum.  It's on Canada Way and Sperling Ave.,  2 blocks off Hwy #1, Kensington Exit beside Deer Lake and the Hart House restaurant,.  I was there several 20 - 30 years ago and again 3 years ago, I loved it...You feel like like you're in the late 1800's.   If you have little kids, they love the Carousal.

A traditional B.C. Electric Railway tram stop village has been created with a combination of heritage and replica buildings on a 10 acre site. My son just went there for a field trip a little while ago. He is also in grade 3.

From what I heard, there is a carousel, a place where they make butter, an old school, and other old buildings from the early 1900's.

Yes, and people walking around pretending to be from that century. He is just clarifying this to me now.

And yes, it is in Burnaby. A pretty neat place if you ask me!

Its just off Canada way   about a bok from Burnaby Central high school I think its free this weekend  A bus stops there

Yes, you are absolutely correct, and it's called the Heritage Village and it is in BUrnaby. There are also movies - the good old black and white, fuzzy, 5 minute shows.

It's a fun place to visit - for tourists or for locals.
