Burner (red box)or tne new PRO v1?

Question

Has anyone played the TaylorMade Burner balls(red box,Not TP),and if so have you played the new PRO V1?Which does good around the green,handles better on drives?

You get what you pay for man... The TP is meant to compete with the ProV's, not the burner.  The burner is meant to compete with the NXT or the HVC.  I have played both, the burner on a windy day, and i have to say there is no comparison.  The burner was nice on a windy day because it doesnt spin, so the wind doesnt affect it too much.  But putting, feel, spin, and predictability wise, the ProV blows everything out of the water.

I've used both.  The ProV is probably a better ball but the Burner's aren't bad either.   The ProV is twice the price so I'd suggest go buy a sleeve of the Burners to see if you like them before spending the money on the ProV.

There is no comparison. The Taylor Made Burner is not designed to compete with the ProV, the TP model is, and is better that the Titleist. The one you want to try is the new Callaway Hot Bite. 29 dollars ain't bad for THIS ball. Also, the Bridgestone E5+ is a urethane covered ball (yummy) at a really good price. Take this advice from as working man who has a 3 handicap.
