Burning DVD?

Question

How do I burn a dat file to a blank dvd to make it recognizable by my dvd player attached to my tv as a video using nero 6 ???

after entering into nero, click   make vcd.

then add the .dat file and proceed, but in nero 6 it usually takes more than an hour
