Burning DVDs onto a CD-R disc?

Question

I don't have a DVD-RW drive, just CD-RW and DVD-ROM.

My question is since I can't burn this movie onto a DVD-R disc, can I burn it onto a CD-R disc? Will it play in DVD players and Playstations?

What about burning it onto a CD-RW?

The other guy is wrong. Just download or convert the movie a 700 mb .avi file. Then re encode it to play on your DVD player.

'course you can write a dvd into a cd. but you'll need a lot of cd-r s in my method. you need to compress and lose quality either. jus press burn and when the space is up it'll ask you to insert 'nother cd. do as it says and it won't be a problem.
