Burning Dvd's correctly?

I recently posted a question on this topic... I have a philips dvd player that does play the burnt dvds that my sis ex made... but i attempted to burn dvds and they won't work for me.. it comes up unknown disc... it is quiet annoying.... can anyone tell me how to burn dvds correctly or give me any hints? Thank you for your time ^-^

  1. when you starting your job look for a tick box that says to end session, or perhaps remove the tick from multisession.

    when doing normal file storage on dvd, you can select multisession. This allows for another file to be burnt onto the dvd later on, so you can fill up the dvd.  If you choose end session then the blank dvd cannot be added to.

    however multisession may not suit your player, try end session.

    search for end session in the burner programs help file.


  2. Try using "Dvd Shrink" it shrinks the dvd and makes it able to fit onto a normal 4.7gb Dvd. If you have Nero installed on your computer they work together and makes your job easier

  3. If you're trying to copy DVDS and burn them, a good program I've grown to really like it DVD Fab Platinum. It's REALLY easy.
