  1. you can take wondershare video to dvd burner for a try. it can help you burn video files encoded in formats like avi, mpeg, mp4, flv, wmv, asf, etc. to dvd for backup, enhancement and playback on all home dvd players with desirable quality and very fast speed.

you can download it from http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/video-to-... for free.

  2. Use Total Video2Dvd Author convert avi movie to video DVD, simply and directly, work on home dvd player

you can download this software FREE:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=total+vid...

Especial: support download youtube and other video share website video, then burn it to dvd.

  3. Yes u must convert them to a VOB formant which is standard dvd. Also look into the type of dvd-r that your using. Some dvd-r or dvd+r are not always compatible with certain dvd players.

P.s. Nero or dvdsanta is a great way to conrt your video files to (VOB) dvd format! hope this helps

  4. get cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/RMVB/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter - Video Converter (Pro) http://www.allforvideo.com/movie-video-t... , it has a dvd burner insider, you can burn a dvd after conversion, it's only $29.95, works great for me. you can get a free trial if you want from the link i provided.

  5. you answered the question yourself. Even if you convert hem to Divx not all players will accept them. the only option is to use a burning prog like Nero and create a proper DVD in the correct format then it will be played by 99% of them

except for Divx and WMV you cannot copy to a dvd and expect it to work

(probably a few other exceptions but not many)

    hope this helps.
