Question:

Burning sensation in my stomach when doing squats?

I was doing squats the other day, and halfway through, on the push back up, I felt this burning pain to the left hand side of my stomach, halfway down the ab muscles right on the outer part, but inside, behind the ab muscles. It felt like I had a hot potato stuck in there!

At first I thought I'd done a hernia, but nothing popped out and after a few minutes the pain eased off, and I was able to complete the squats, albeit at a lesser weight.

Anyone have any idea what it could possibly be? Was it nearly a hernia, or just a muscle strain? The pain for about 10 seconds was searing, I thought I'd done something serious but it seems to be getting better. I was just curious if anyone had any ideas. Thanks.

  1. I guess that gave new meaning to the words , "feel the burn!"  My only suggestion is to have it checked out if it happens again.  Good luck.

  2. its probably some food moving about

nothing to worry about but if it hurt real bad then i would say you almost did your abs in so strech your abs by moving your hips in a circle
