Burning to DVD while recording?

Question

Does anyone know of a way to burn to DVD (using a DVD burner) while you are recording the footage on VHS or MiniDV? I don't mind if you have to finalize. Also, is there a way to burn from mini DV where you can do it faster than in "real time"?
