Burns and Roe Reading Inventory: How do YOU give it????

Question

Can you please explain how you give the Burns and Roe? I want to make sure I have been giving it correctly:

1) Read the intro statement to student

2) Time student as they read the entire text passage aloud

3) Ask student the comprehension questions

4) Divide the number of seconds it took the student to read entire passage by the division formula in right hand margin to find WPM

Does this sound correct??????

I'm not familiar with that reading inventory?  Does it have a manual that you could look at or do you have a curriculum coordination at your school who could help you?
