Burnt DVD Help?

Do i need to finalize my burnt dvd to put it on the computer or does it have to be unfinalized?

  1. On those connected directly to the TV like a VCR but are DVD Recorders. Some have special stop recording button pause recording and record buttons. That would save the recordings and a bit more coding. The process is very fast per recorder. I am doing one right now from VCR to DVD Recorder. Now I can go to the PC insert the DVD made on DVD Recorder connected to the TV. Open the folder for VOB.TS and take the file copy it to the computer HDD. Then rename it myvideo.mpg. Now with this file you can edit the video either using videoredo or my favorite is Womble MPEG-VCR.

  2. Hi UKFAN,

    Most computers will read an unfinalized DVD. I prefer to leave mine unfinalized until I am sure they are done.

    Give it a try and if it won't read put it back in your recorder and finalize it.
