Bursaries for a diploman in nursing at university?

i'm plannin on goin to university to study a diploma in nursing...i've noticed you get a £6000 bursary for this....is this just a one off payment or is this £6000 each year of the course?

I'm a student nurse studying at BCU. I get paid by bursary and get £510 a month paid by BACS into my bank account.

when i studied nursing at uni 16 yrs ago it was £4000 a year divided up equally as a monthly payment.So I would say £6000 a year sounds right.
