On the Burton website I was looking at some boards and it says "feel" and it goes up to 7... what is meant when they say "feel"? is more feel better or worse?

  1. "Feel" refers to the flexibility of the snowboard.

The lower the number, the more spring to the board.

A rating of 7 is quite stiff.

Stiffer boards are usually better for stability at high speeds, offering a "chatter-free" ride.  They are not recommended for beginners.

Softer boards turn easier at slower speeds and are easier to maneuver.

This is a matter of personal preference and you should demo a few different boards to get a sense of what's best for your style.
