Burton Snowboard sizing help?!?!?

I'm about to buy a new snowboard set up and i need help in deciding what size to get. First i think I'm going to go for the Burton Custom and im debating between the 156 and 158. I'm 5ft 7in and weigh about 180. What size would better suit me? I'm probably going to just carve more than do tricks in the park if that has anything to do with it. Then bindings...my boot size is a 9 - 9 1/2 and im looking at the Burton P1's but I'm not sure if i should get them in large or medium. Please help and if you have any other suggestions feel free to tell me. Thanks!

  1. yeah like they said 158 is WAYY to big you should go a little smaller because if its too big it will be harder to manuveur

like im 5-11 and i ride a 157 and its perfect for me

so for sure go smaller on board size

  2. Whoah, 158 is WAY WAY to big for you. You want like between 151 and 154. You want your deck to come just below your chin like to your atoms apple. Especially if your just gonna be cruzin and stuff, the shorter your deck is the eaiser it is to manuver.

If your looking in to Burton bindings, Id recomend the CARTELS over the P1s, they are lighter and more comfy. Trust me I have tried both and now I rock the cartels from this year. You want to medium bindings.

THis is how burton sizing bindings works

    6-9.5    MEDIUM

    10-...  Large

    Good luck,

  3. 158 is huge for you. i ride a burton, i'm 5'6" and i ride a 151, and i can use that until i'm like 5'9". i suggest 151 or 154 also.

  4. From your description I suggest the 158.  If you are really into carving, you could go one size up from that!  As for the bindings, take your boots to the shop and get he best fit that way.  Don't trust the manufacturer guidelines: sometimes they leave too much slop in the fit.
