  1. You shouldn't be getting a Vapor if you don't even know the differences between the three.  You shouldn't be looking at price to decide on whether or not it's a good board.

Exactly how experienced are you?  If you're just starting, I would recommend getting something besides a Burton.  You won't be able to take those decks to their full potential yet, and people with well +$1000 set ups annoy a lot of the riders on the mountain when they see that you're just starting.

Go check out k2, Lib-Tech, Ride, or maybe Arbor if you want a new board to start on.  They all make great boards.

  2. The Vapor is NOT good in the park. It voids the warranty if you use it on rails. But still good on pipes. Stats dont really mean anything if you know what your looking for. If you dont, i would just go with the Custom. Its one of the best all mountain boards around.

  3. if you have no limit then go to the series13 website and get the vapor and custom it. make the board your own. but they are all pretty sick boards. have fun with them.

  4. supposedly, the vapor is the lightest snowboard on the market right now, and its fast, and it can shred pow, and its good in the park. of the three the white board would be the best in the park but if your going to get a park board get a jeremy jones or x8.  The custom is probably one of the most ridden boards.  It is really good on the mountain as well as the park, although it is better of kickers and stuff  than rails (although it still butters well).   there are cheaper versions of the custom in the burton line. theyre not as good but similar. check out the air ,elite and clash. all of them good for a great price.  Personally my favorite is the dominant. its not great on the trails (it'll still perform well though) but its sweet in the park. I think that you shouldn't limit yourself to burton though. there are other very good brands out there (although i do ride a burton).  My favorite companis in clude these

Forum, k2, ride, nitro and rome.  Forum boards are sweet. they make some very nice park boards like the destroyer or the youngblood.  make sure you choose your style, freeride or freestyle. i freesyle (park and mountain)

Good luck and have fun with the riding

  5. I agree with R4L.  If you don't even know the difference, don't bother getting an advanced (and really expensive) board.

  6. DONT GET THE VAPOR.  Its definetly not the lightest board made, and is kinda a novilty. The ELAN INVERSE is the lightest snowboard made. Its a company in VT.

Get the custom. You can get this years for 360 bucks and thats a great deal. Take the money that you save and get burton cartel bindings, instead of c02s or c60s.   Then take the money you save and get some fresh gear on sale from this seaons, Then take the money that you save, buy some dank, then take the money that you saved  and build a jib in your backyard. Then take the money that you save and let me borrow it. hehe Good luck
