Burton X8 With EST System Bindings ??

Ok im thinking of picking up the 2008 modle of the Burton X8 and was just wondering what bindings can fit on it with the EST system. I know its only Burtons but would Cartels work with it. I was looking at videos and pictures and it seems like the cartels doesnt have the EST slots on the side of the bindings to work with the Est system. Only bindings i saw that might work out and were in every pic were the Burton EST Bindings.

So my question is can i use Cartels with the Burton X8 or do i need to spend more money and invest in the Burton Est Bindings.

if you can find 09 burton cartels they come in est. they are very nice bindings. my friend overshot a 60 foot jump in them and the gel in the bindings saved him from breaking his leg. However, in 08 models the only bindings that come in EST are the EST or the EST Un...inc bindings. but i think burton is selling 09 models on their website currently.
