Im probably going to get Burton's GTwin board. However, I also want to get the K2 Bliss bindings. I've heard about Burton being different with theyre system. Would anyone care to explain? What will I need to get my bindings onto my board?

  1. i got a burton board with k2 bindings also, all you do is go to a local snoboard shop and ask for burton base blades (around $5). You need them because the burton board does not work with k2 bindings since the base blade is designed for k2 boards hope it helps

base blades are the removable circles at the bottom of your board that s***w into the board

p.s. bring your board to the shop and ask them to install it cause sometimes there hard to get in.

  2. It's not base blades, it's base plates.  Any binding can go on any board except for EST bindings on a non-ICS board.  You can put reg. four or three hole bindings on an ICS board though.

You'll just need a screwdriver, the correct base plates, and some common sense.  Most bindings come with with the three hole base plates, are hybrids (have four and three hole patterns on the same plate), or you could contact a K2, or Burton about obtaining them.  You should try K2 first.  If they won't give you them, try Burton.  If Burton won't give you them, check out any boardshop that carries bindings or boards.  Preferably where you got your stuff.  They might give you them for free or make you pay.  Don't get them from a boardshop unless you're getting it for free.

My guess is that they're going to be hybrids.  All three pairs of my bindings came with hybrid baseplates.  Just check the contents of the box before you leave the shop.

You realize the GTwin is mostly a park deck?  If you're getting it only based on looks, that's a bad reason.
