Can anyone point out the differences between the lo-back model and the hi-back model? Perhaps even offer a suggestion? Thanks!

  1. High back is more Freeride oriented for higher speed control on heelside.

Lowback is more for park so you can have that extra space to tweak your board at the ankles.

  2. Yo dude, I have this years Cartel with the high back> In winterfresh mismatch color, They are perfect for park and all mountain, They have like this weird curve to them that fits your calf so well, and are just super cushy. Get the highback man, you can get em right now for like 140.. You wont be dissapointed, I got to demo almost every high end binding from this season and the Burton Cartel Highback was my favorite hands down. Great for jibs and awesome for booterz GOod luck mang

  3. The Regular Cartel is probably the better way to go. You should be find doing park on that unless your totally hardcore in the park. You probably shouldnt be getting the lo backs for an all around binding. You should only get it if you want to have more than 1 board.

This is like comparing the Dominant to the Dominant slick. Although they are pretty much the same board, The dominant is a good all mountain park board, while the Slick is for park only. You shouldnt get that if you are only planning on getting 1  board.

The Slick and the Lo backs would probably be a good setup if your really into jibbing.
