hey guys,

i am looking for a new board for the next saison im about 5.9 (175cm) and about 148 (65kg)pounds. I've been riding for about 8 years appx two week per saison. I like riding park and jibbing but I also do a lot of powder.... I was thinking about the burton custom wide or rome flag wide. i heard there both great..i have a burton 159 now and its ok i suppose , but ive never riden a rome...if you can suggest a good size or another board it would be great..thx

Harry

  1. go with a rome idk if ur really stuck on the flag cause the rome anthem and agents are really good and the graft is super good. i personally rode an artifact this year cause im a park rat and it was amazing and buttery. i also took it in some glade type trials like cliffs and powder and i handled fine. idk you riding ability but definitly go with a rome. also you could look at some other companys technine has some good boards and my favorite company stepchild makes awesome boards.

  2. Iv ridden two rome flags boards over the last few seasons, their pretty stiff, lots of pop and are good in pow, but not great with rails or park riding, and there REALLY heavy as boards go. Id go with the burton custom, as they seem to be better in parks and and (although not at good in pow at a flag) are pretty close

  3. Both these boards are good and theres not much difference between then. The Flag is the wide version of the Rome Anthem which is more of less the same board as the Custom. It is a bit stiffer though an not so good for rails and as you like jibbing etc you would be slighly better off with the Custom. The sort of size you should go for based on your height and weight is around a 153. Good luck with the riding.
