  1. The cap straps are a big advantage, but also look into the mission bindings from burton its only a $40 difference from the customs.

  2. first off if you are looking to get your own board for the love of god get something bigger than a 142. just rent on for now if you need a small board but buying a board that small is not wise. odds are that you will get very bored with it and the lack of speed you will get once you get better. but on to the bindings i personally love the drake fifty bindings that i have on my board. but if you are dead set on those burton ones pay the extra $20 for the customs. you should not bee stingy when response is better and the values are so close. hope i helped

  3. Get the customs dude> Did you know that shawn white only rides the burton customs?     Once you feel the incredible control you have with the toe cap on the customs you wont want to ride anything else> The only difference in the Burton Freestyle bindings than the customs is the toe strap. Its not worth buying burton bindings unless they have the toe cap,. and honestly the freestyles suck .    Ride bindings are good and hold up well, but there convertable toe cap is nothing compared to the toe cap on the burton customs,  I think that zumies has the MISSIONS on sales right now at the old custom price.   I would recomend that anyone looking into getting some new bindings get a pair of burtons with the toe cap..

  4. personally i would go with a ride binding.  the only thing that is nicer about the Burton is the toe cap, otherwise the ride bindings are much stronger and longer lasting.  yes a medium size binding will fit that board.  to to transworld snowboarding and read articles about different products.  its very helpful.  have a great season.
