Burton ion or sl10?

Question

my husband has a pair of the burton ions from the 03 season. however he wants to get new boots for this season. has anyone ridden with the new sl10?? are they much better then the ions?

I've tried both and several others when shopping for new board and boots...it has more cushion and support...I'm not sure about the old ions, but the new ions are lighter than most boots, probably for doing tricks and stuff...so if he's into just riding, get the sl10...if he's into jumping and doing tricks, get the ions. However the sl10 is good for tricks and stuff too, but the ions are just a bit lighter
