Is it okay for me to buy a Burton Punch youth snowboard, I am 5'5'' and 115 pounds, foot size 7/8. I am 15. I want to spend enough to get a reasonably good board that I can start out with for a year or two. If not, what do you suggest? I am looking to spend no more than 250 for a board, itself.

  1. You could probably use it, but I would worry that your feet will hang over the edge. These boards are made for kids. You would be better off to get last years model in a board that will work for you for some time to come. I'd suggest a Nitro Mystique 149. You can pick one up from one of the on-line shops for about $200. I used a Nitro Mystique for 3 seasons. It is still a good board, and I'm using it until the early season conditions are gone and I can break out the new Nitro Carrara.

  2. Yeah definately. When I was in 7th grade, I was about your size and I had a burton punch 143. It was a great board, and I had bigger feet then you have now so i don't think you will need to worry about the width that much. The 145 option will be plenty wide, and it's a great board to start out on.
