Has anyone taken the bus from CDG to Gare de l'est? How much was it? Can you pay on the bus? How much luggage can I fit on the bus? Is it better to take the bus or to take the train to Gare de Nord and transfer?

  1. Roissybus- €8.50   about 1hr (pay on bus)

Train-€8.10 about 45mins (pay at station)

  2. Depends mainly of your luggage. If you have a lot, it would be better to take the bus. It usually costs around 8 euros.

If you're going to Gare de l'Est to take a TGV, be sure that you can't take that train at the airport itself (there is a TGV station there)

  3. As a matter of fact, I took the bus from the Gare de l'est to CDG. It cost around 7 dollars and it was the best thing I ever did. I had 2 large suitcases with plenty of room on the bus. No going down stairs in the train station. It makes quite a few stops before getting to the airport, takes approx 45 min but it is well worth it. Not crowded at all. The driver speaks English and will let you know when to get off if you are not familiar with your surroundings. Don't take the RER...take the bus. lot's of sights to see.

    Good luck
