Question:

Bus From Beauvais to Amiens?

I am going to Paris on Saturday. On Monday I would like to go to Beauvais by train and spend the morning there. I don't want to go straight back to Paris, I would rather catch a bus or train somewhere else for the afternoon then go back to Paris from there - perhaps Amiens?

Does anyone know if there is a bus from Beauvais to Amiens, how much it costs, how long it takes, or if there are any other nice towns you can get to from Beauvais, and from where you can get back to Paris easily by bus or train?

  1. There is indeed a bus from Beauvais to Amiens. The company is called cabaro, but their website seems to be down.

Edit: their website is back. Takes about 1h20 and there are three services per day.

  2. The main problem is that there is no rail service between Beauvais and Amiens.

I recommand you to call  Beauvais Tourist Office.

I am sure they have English-speaker employees, then you will get an appropiate answer to your question.

    Tourist Office Tel +33 (0)3.44.15.30.30

  3. try the sncf website, its the public transport for france, dont know if it has an english version

  4. Another beautiful town is Arras, not far from Amien.

There you can catch a train back to Paris.

Sorry but I don't know about bus from Beauvais. Check on the Net with the French Railway. It is a super site full of infos.
