Bus and train commuters only: Theres empty seats.Don't you get annoyed when a person crowds you?

Hey all you bus and train commuters.Don't you get annoyed when someone just sits next to you when there are all these empty seats on the train/bus? I mean its a bunch of empty seats and the person just forces his/her way to sit next to you when they could be sitting in an empty seat instead of crowding you.

One of my friends was about to get into a fight with a heavy set woman.My friend is plus sized and this other plus sized woman got on the bus and tried to make my friend let her sit next to her.There were empty seats.My friend told her there are empty seats on here and that there is no room for both of them.And my friend had a rolling backpack.This lady was steady trying to force a space there.

I was about to snap on a lady the other night.There were empty seats.I had 2 big bags and the seat faces a wall.She sees me with these bags.I sat my bags on one seat and I sat down in the other.She then comes up all firm and says excuse me.I sat one bag on my lap.The other couldn't fit on the floor since the seat faces a tight wall.So my booty was a little off the seat because I had to squeeze my big bag next to me.She then had the nerve to cop an attitude and just force her way into the seat.There was no room.There were other seats.She could have sat in another seat.That was just ignorant.

Don't you get annoyed when someone gets on the train/bus and theres these empty seats but they force their way to sit next to you and crowd you?Don;t you get annoyed when you have big bags or a big bag and the person makes you move your big heavy bag on your lap just so they can sit down?Why are people so ignorant?They see its no room but they just want to force their way next to you.There are other seats that are empty but they just insist on crowding you.

It is annoying.  But people don't have a RIGHT to sit by themselves.  If you feel like that, then you have no choice but to move.

Actually you are in the wrong here (completely).  Here in NYC, you can even get a ticket for that - even if the bus / train is completely empty.

I person would NEVER sit next to another if there are plenty of seats because I want some space. But that is my CHOICE , not my right.

Well, why don't you get up and move to another seat?  

You don't have the energy to do that, but you have the time to type out a whole paragraph complaining about it to a bunch of strangers.

When you say "there are empty seats" do you mean there are empty pairs of seats together?  Or do you mean there are single empty seats?

I know how you feel.

It is annoying.

I experience that also in our NY Metropolitan Area.

One time on Go Bus 25 going back to Irvington Bus Terminal in NJ, GoBus25 at PM Rush Hour was crowded, and fat lady got on empty seat next to me and I was squeezed.

I also got squeezed on Long Island Bus's busy N6 bus ride bet. Hempstead and Jamaica. It got mad crowded.

Not only on commuter rail, but also on NYC Subway lines.

For example, like on Flushing (7) line, when there are no express due to signal problem, local gets mad house of Queensboro Plaza, trying to to squeeze, pushing people, not waiting to let others exit first, then sometimes at 74th St. (NYC-Queens)
