  1. The correct retort goes such:-

Unsure Passenger:-  'Does this bus go to Garston?  That's what it says on the front?'

Helpful Driver:-  'It says India on the tyres but I'm not going there.'

  2. Some drivers forget to change the destination blinds,

Some times the blinds tell the driver they are changed but are jammed.

It doesn't hurt to make sure.

Oh and some people really are thick.

  3. Well, if the destination screen's written like your question, I'm not surprised they're confused!

  4. i don`t no

  5. Because too many busses in bus stations do not display the correct destination.

You may be a paragon of a bus driver but too many of your collegues are too lazy to update the blinds/screens on their busses.

Also, quite a lot of modern dot matrix displays are faulty and so don't clearly display anything and a lot of the older roller blinds are not positioned properly.

It also helps if you spell properly.

  6. Instead of sneering at your passengers, why not learn how to spell?

  7. coz they r idiots

  8. Maybe its just to annoy the driver,  the way they annoy the passengers with their erratic driving eh?

  9. I was a bus driver and I was sent on a course on disabilities. This came up, people looking at the destination blind and then asking where does it go.

We had to where glasses that gave us different eye problems like myopia, cataracts, tunnel vision, floating dots etc. Then we tried to read destination blinds, it wasn't easy and I realised how confusing and frightening for people to get a bus if they couldn't see where it was going.

We had our fingers tied together, our knees, carry heavy bags onto a bus with one hand and a doll to represent a child in another. All these are everyday occurrences for the elderly, disabled and young mums.

It made me aware and it costs nothing to be pleasant and say where you are going for the passengers asking.
