Bus from chennai airpot to Pondicherry?

Question

I arrive at Chenna airport at midnight. Is there a bus to Pondicherry at that time of night or must I wait till the morning. What time is the first bus after midnight and where do I takw it from.

Hi, first choice, you may take a prepaid to Chennai bus stand. from there every 30 or 45 mins there is a bus to Pondy. from around 5am, it is more frequent.

Or if you land up around 4am, then come out of the airport, cross the road and get into the local railway station. station name is Thirisulam. from there take a train to Tambaram, i think 4 or 5 stations away. just outside Tambaram station, u can wait for the Pondy bus.

Wait till 4am take a prepaid taxi to Koyambedu Bus terminus.

Buses to pondy leaves at 20-30 minutes intervals.

Take a Government bus. You will be issued tickets and not

get fleeced.

you can take prepaid to kathipara junction ( around 5 km from airport.) all the buses has to go through this route only (ecr/tambaram). Buses are from 5.00 am onwards.
