  1. Agree with the other poster - the train would be better

  2. Bonelli Bus runs one bus on Monday and Fridays leaving Rome at 3 pm and arriving in Rimini at 8 pm for 25 euro each way. From June to September there are two buses a day every day. The bus does not leave from the airport though. Their website is in Italian: http://www.cgi-bus.it/bonellibus/. Right now, it's off season for the beach, so there aren't as many buses.

You're better off taking the train. From the airport station there are several options every day. Travel time is around 5 hours. Most options require a train change at Roma Termini and Bologna. There are also a couple of choices to take the train from the airport to Roma Tiburtina station and also change at Falconara Marittima. Connecting through Bologna costs 68 euro 2nd class. Some connections through Roma Tiburtina cost 25 to 35 euro, but there are fewer trains from there during the day.

You can check specific schedules and prices at: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html. In the English language interface, enter fiumicino airport for the trains leaving the airport. If you use the Italian interface use roma aero for the airport station.
