Bus ticket from matamoros to mazatlan?

Hi! I was just wondering if someone could help me with some travel information from Matamoros (MX) to Mazatlan (MX). I have some friends from Mazatlan that have been stuck working in Matamoros and haven't had the opportunity to see their parents in a year. I'd like to give them a bus ticket home to see their parents for a week, but I don't know much about bus travel. I know greyhound is an option, but is it the only one?Thanks!

You should try Primera Plus or ETN. Just google them.

Greyhound does not operate in Mexico.It does cross the border into Matamoros,but only to drop off and pick up passengers.There are no direct buses from Matamoros to Matzatlan but there are several  buses a day that leave Matamoros for Monterey where your friends could transfer to another bus going to Matzatlan.There are also several buses a day that service Matzatlan from Monterey.The cost per ticket one-way would be about $100 with a total travel time of  approximately 24 hours.Email me if you have any other questions.Good luck!
