Bus/ train travel, alghero?

i am arriving in alghero and staying in alghero for 10 days in october, it would be easy to hire a car, but, i would like to travel about on train and/or bus to maybe, sassari, and bosa and other locations, can someone please help me with, time tables and destinations, Alghero lovely town, but this year i would like to get out and about a bit more. many thanks for your help

The main bus line in sardinia go from the airports up north or to alghero and the nearby town of fertilia.   When I was there, it seemed like the best way to travel was to rent a car or rent a bike.   Hope that helps!   I was in Alghero (stayed in Fertilia) for three days in April and had a fabulous time!!!
