Going to Busch Gardens in a few days. If you have been there, what did you like about it?

We are going to the "European" one, as opposed to the African themed one.

  1. Without question it's Griffon!! The 90 degree dive drop is insane, especially when it pauses right at the edge over 200 feet in the air before you plummet, and the HUGE Immelman inversions are whicked too!

Apollo's Chariot is also really good because it has so many hills and is pretty long too!!!

  2. in the one in florida in my opinion the best part is the rollercoasters

  3. I love Busch Gardens Europe!!  We've been season pass holders for years.  I've answered quite a few questions about BGE over the last few days.  Here's a copy and paste of what I recommend doing at the park:

Get there right when it opens if possible. Parking is something like $10 for regular and $15 for preferred. We always get the preferred parking. The only difference is that you get to park closer to the entrance.

When you get into the park, it opens in shifts. If you are there by about 9:30, go to the right and wait for Ireland to open. As soon as it opens, go through Ireland and follow the pathway to Griffon. Hit Griffon first. It's the newest coaster and the lines can be crazy long as the day progresses. If you're lucky, you might be able to get a few rides in before the lines are too long.

Alpengeist is adjacent to Griffon. Hit that next. Big Bad Wolf is right around the corner from Alpengeist, if you want to ride it, go there. There's also Curse of Darkastle. It's an indoor 3D ride that takes you through a cursed castle. It's actually a lot of fun. Hit that before the sun is all the way up or else you'll find yourself waiting in the courtyard line, which is very hot and not shaded.

There's also Loch Ness Monster and Apollo's Chariot. You could make your way around to Italy and ride Apollo's Chariot, then back to the front of the park and hit up Loch Ness if you wish.

Don't forget to watch the Irish Dancers in Ireland. There show is a must see!! The dancing is fast and fun, and the music is always great.

There's also shows in Italy near La Cucina. You can have an italian meal and watch the show at the same time.

If you want German food, go to Das Fest Haus and grab a table and watch their show while you relax in the air controlled building.

Ireland has Grogans Grill, a mix of Irish and american food.

If you like BBQ, check out my favorite place to eat, Trapper's Smokehouse. Their chicken dinner is awesome. They've also got some great bread pudding for dessert there.

Plan to bring at least $30 to cover meals and snacks. You can request courtesy cups of water to save money.

If you like animals, there's Pet Shenanigans (think stupid pet tricks), Jack Hanna's wild reserve (live wolves and eagles), and also lorikeet glen (a netted aviary where you can feed lorikeets).

You don't have to worry about a lot of kiddie rides at the park unless you include the rides in Da Vinci's Garden of Inventions. There, they've got Da Vinci's cradle and Battering Ram.

Ireland also has a ride, Corkscew hill. Think Curse of Darkastle, except you're riding a horse through the woods. It's also a 4D ride, except you sit in chairs that move. It's fun, and you'll get wet on it.

Speaking of getting wet, if it's warm and you want some water rides, you've got the log flume near Alpengeist, Escape from Pompeii near Italy, and Roman Rapids near Apollo's Chariot.

  4. All the roller coasters.especially Griffon

  5. Griffon!!!!!!!! most of the italy section, and alpengist!!!!!!!!!

  6. I loveeeeeeeeeeeee alpengeist=D
