The Trains (S - bahn ) which conveniently used to link the Frankfurt international airport and the town of Frankfurt are not operating, if i understood right.

Is there another easy way? Frequent buses?

Thanks :)

  1. Hi there, i am from Frankfurt, Germany i just moved a year ago to the U.S.

Don't worry about constructions or anything, Germany is SO SO different from the U.S, you will find a couple differnt ways to come from the Airport to the City we have many Buses, S-Bahns, and U-Bahns... EVERYONE speaks english on the Airport and every Sign is in English too. So dont worry! If you want me to i can find you a way from the airport to where ever you wanna go just Email me! Have fun in germany!!!

  2. I don't think so. I don't remember there being buses in Frankfurt when I was there. I hope you like Frankfurt. It's really nice there.

  3. As much as I know only S-Bahn are partly not working, you can use the U-Bahn (Underground or Subway).

Try the following link for finding the best alternative:

  4. Only, the regional train station at the airport is closed for construction. The long-distance train station is open and the S-Bahn will depart from there during the construction.

Look at the following site for more details on what trains are leaving where:

There should be temporary signs at the airport that will direct you to the correct train station.

The long-distance train station is past the regional train station, see the following map:  http://www.airportcity-frankfurt.com/cms...

  5. You can take the U-Bahn (Subway) from the Airport to the city Frankfurt. It's going fast and very easy. And you can get out Hauptwache or Konstablerwache station, just middle in down town Frankfurt.

Buses I don't think so there is any. Taxi, but expensive.
