  1. you should have made arrangements with your travel agent for transportation from the airport to your hotel. Otherwise you are going to get ripped off from taking a cab.

  2. You can buy transportation from airport to hotel zone at the airport. It is cheaper than buying through the internet.

  3. I am going to Cancun on Thursday and to my understanding you have to arrange transportation ahead of time. You should contact the hotel you are staying at and find out if they offer a shuttle.

  4. You can pay for a bus service from the airport to your hotel.  I went this past April and it was $12 U.S. per person.  Just go to the transportation desk at the airport.  I think it was Gray Line buses or somesuch.  Give them $12 and they'll give you a receipt.  Then head outside to the transportation area and find a representative from the bus line.  He/she will direct you to the van and you'll share a ride with other tourists.

  5. You have to pay for the buses, they are 65 pesos. Be very careful with the taxis. Even the one's in the airport. They have a stand and look legit but they will rob you. We stood at the Flamingo and paid $90 when we got to the hotel it should have only been $25. Ask the concierge at your hotel how much should you pay before you do. Go for a regular taxi and not the vans. Walk all the way out of the terminal before you choose one.
