Buses to Lake Garda from Verona?

Hi, we are staying in Bardolino in August and have tickets to the opera in Verona. Will it be possible to get a bus back to Bardolino after the opera has finished, or do the buses stop running quite early? We will have a car, but thought it might be easier just to hop on the bus. Any advice would be great!

Well, yes but it depends on the day of the week, During the week the blue suburban buses, for lack of a better description, do run quite late into the evening back to Verona. However on Saturday and especially Sunday I wouldn't risk it after 7PM Also, if you just miss a bus to Verona from Lake Garda I  have sometimes found it is occasionally faster to use the bus in the western direction towards Brescia to the FS train station and ride the train back to Verona Porta Nouva Station. Either way the buses are safe and a good overall bet! They do keep easy to read schedules at the terminal adjacent to the Verona Train station.
