Im looking for A story that ran on Bush about 2 years ago or so.

cnn , ap and a few other ran a story on bush and big oil companies.

The story stated that Bush had a sit down with the oil companies and told them that they could raise oil prices to $5 a gallon before he left office and he would not stop them.

The story turned out to be an oh c**p story because after only a few days it was gone. Its like they never ran it.

Anyone know were I can find it???

I know I can not be the only person that saw it before it was pulled.. It was big news for about 3 days then after that it was gone.

Anyone recall the story and were to find it?

  1. Sounds like a "university myth."  Please know that oil has never been at $5.00 gallon.  You seem to be talking about gasoline.  They are different products.  The price is set by supply and demand.  A point Warren Buffet, a Democratic supporter, acknowledges.  The Holy Father could not create $5 oil.  The congress by refusing exploration rights at every turn is doing a great job in pushing the gasoline needle to $5.00.  Oil is trading on the open market at between $135.00 and $140.00.  There are more bidders for a limited supply of the product.  China, India, the emerging eastern European countries.  Ask an economics professor who is not engaged in politics.  The professor should confirm the reality that is known in the trading pits for all commodities.

  2. Man I wish that story was true! I won't bush to rot for all the pain he has caused! The story wouldn't surprise me at all. 8 years of him doing what is best for companies and worst for the people. Someone please find this story and post it everywhere!
