President Bush on Monday approved the execution of an Army private, the first time in over a half-century that a president has affirmed a death sentence for a member of the U.S. military.

With his signature from the Oval Office, Bush said yes to the military's request to execute Ronald A. Gray, the White House confirmed. Gray had had been convicted in connection with a spree of four murders and eight rapes in the Fayetteville, N.C., area over eight months in the late 1980s while stationed at Fort Bragg.

  1. Long overdue...I'm wondering why it's taking so long to decide the fate of another that beat raped and killed an 11yo girl.

It's just too bad they have to make sure he doesn't suffer.

Most cost effective way to execute someone..one bullet to the head.

  2. Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Remember, as Governor it was widely known that GWBush was proud that he and Gonzales (his Atty General in Texas) never spent more than 15 MINUTES deciding on whether someone should get pardoned or not. He had the record in the US for executions.

GWB was born to make decisions like this...he does not give a rats *ss one way or another...

(Sounds like this one is guilty though...)

  4. yes if he did it

  5. His victims did not have the chance to live, why should he?  The one's he raped lost a part of themselves that they will never get back!!!  Do the crime suffer the consequences.

  6. yup. he need to die. **** him. the military has enough black-eyes and that b*tch is not helping. kill his ***.

  7. It's sad to see life being thrown away like that and you people eager to judge someone whom is facing death. Those of you who want this man dead would you pull the trigger yourself?

  8. Four murders & eight rapes!!!  It sounds like Bill Clinton!!!!!  Drum him out of the service on a court martial then pay him a FORTUNE for touring the lecture circuit!

  9. military gives no reason not to kill..

  10. Four murders and eight rapes...yeah, I think that qualifies a monster for the death penalty.

  11. I don't agree with capital punishment as a rule. No one has the right to take away someone elses life.

Besides, there are other ways that man could have paid for his crime. There are worse fates than death.
