The price of fuel has been coming down for 36 days straight. Wall street is BUYING up bargains. The inventory of un-sold homes, while still high, is lowering. Treasury says: "The worst is over" and a recession is not likely to materialize. So who gets the credit for fixing it?

  1. hold up republicans said it was the democrat controlled congress's fault because they didn't want to drill,so congress gets the credit

  2. yeh, the un-employment stands at 5.5 which isn't bad and although the economy has slowed down it is still going forward slowly--gas prices are still to high but have been coming down---surely somebody somewhere is doing something right--it's mot my imagination that i am now paying $3.26 for gas where just a few weeks ago it was paying $4.00

  3. The consumers?

  4. Republicans are the only ones who think we are not in a recession. Recession is already here. They are trying to manipulate and use the media to its fullest to make people believe that something hasn't happened when it already has.

Credit for what? This is barely fixing anything in the economy, people are still loosing their homes by the thousands, we are at the highest level of unemployment in years, inflation is increasing exponentially and "The National Debt has continued to increase an average of

$1.84 billion per day since September 28, 2007"

Now the Democrats have to come in and clean up the mess Bush made? It will take years.

  5. I never blamed Bush for gas prices, China and India's economies have been growing rapidly, its only natural that they would use more gas and increase demand.

Alot things are Bush's fault but gas prices arn't one of them.

  6. I thought y'all said that the President had no control over such things.

    I believed you.

  7. so everything is rosy now cause gas only costs 3.67$ a gallon?  Bush gets credit for leading us into financial ruin looking for "WMD's" at a cost of 150 billion a year..... And putting us squarely in the back pocket of the Chinese.  And the housing crisis is looming.... Who is going to pay for it?

  8. George Bush and his administration.  He has 7 3/4 years of economic progress.  That is indisputable.  We have continues to grow our economy since he took office.

  9. The Democrats (for going on Vacation).

Perhaps we should pay them to stay away.

  10. Since always said it wasn't bushy's fault, that it was the democratic controlled congress fault, I guess the credit must be the democrat's

  11. Well, since it happened under Bush's watch.  I guess he does.

  12. It's all Bush's fault. ALL of it.

  13. C'mon you know the rules, Bush only gets blame, no credit.

  14. No one. If you think this economy is good just because it's a tiny bit better for stock holders this week, you're really pathetic.

  15. 1. the consumers for realizing that they have power.

buy less fuel...the price comes down.

    2. Wall-Street buying up bargains doesn't mean anything.... cheap stocks are always bought and sold... the thing is....lots of those stocks used to be valueable...

    3. the inventory of un-sold homes is not lowering... you're making that http://money.cnn.com/2008/07/24/news/eco...

    and http://seekingalpha.com/article/90186-ec...

    4. the almighty TREASURY says "the worst is over".. ??  and nobody will know whether we are or aren't in a recession until a year after it's over.
