did he see someone he could fool? I'm sick of the US manipulating other countries...but if Bush tried to manipulate Putin...he's a d**n fool Georgia borders Russia an it appears that Bush was actually willing to risk a war with Russia....thank God Putin is willing to defend his country before there is a nuclear exchange....Was Georgie willing to risk nuclear war?

"The American side in fact armed and trained the Georgian army," Putin said. "Why hold years of difficult talks and seek complex compromise solutions in interethnic conflicts? It's easier to arm one side and push it into the murder of the other side, and it's over.

  1. McCain requested that Bush start a war with Russia. He thought it would make him look good. He is nostalgic for Vietnam and the Cold War, but the North Vietnamese are coasting now and weren't interested.

He would have used the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, but all of the New fangled equipment confuses him.

  2. I want to apply reductionist logic to this --- So I will

The war of words has started - It will either ecalate or it won't -

It has escalated - The escalation will either result in actions or it won't

It has Armies Naval ships and soldiers are being moved around as a result

Actions either stop or they continue - Actions so far have continued and smaller ones seem to be leading to bigger ones . Russia might cut oil to Europe Russia supports Iran Russia says attacking on behalf of Georgia means war with us

Positions either harden or end in a stale mate

They appear to be hardening with nations picking sides. The solidification of "camps"

They either fight or they don't

If they fight - they will start off small a ground force or a few tanks or they will go big all at once in a sneak attack to try to win ww 3 or they will have a stand off where neither side wants to risk it

Both sides say the other is evil and wants to take over the world - both sides say that the other one is threatening them

It doesn't look good to me - Mankind has never had a prolonged period where there was no warfare - One nation at least per day is in some sort of war with it's neighbor

Iraq Iran Lybia  Columbia Darfur the Kasmeer Chad or some other place - Israel and the Gazza strip Northern Ireland the list goes on and on into the "Dark Ages" and beyond

We humans are war like and primitive - we hate the idea that we are animals but in no way can we claim to be better than a pack of wild dogs - We can't even live in peace within our own nations and cities - we need a police force to keep us in line - We fully acknowledge that without an armed guard our own society would be reduce to anarchy within months !

And that is international across the board all religions nations colors and  creeds Not one nation of people ever developed to the point where they do not need a police force to keep it's own people from robbing raping and killing each other

What hope does the international community then have ?

  3. That is a typical liberal opinion. Support the Russians and the communists and to h**l with freedom and democracy.

Georgia is its own nation with it's own borders. What Russia did to Georgia is mush the same as Iraq invading Kuwait.
