I just had to laugh after reading this article.

These bushmen, who were to build mud huts for a museum exhibit were denied visas to the U.S. based on the following reason: "because they were considered poor dirt farmers who lived in mud huts and can't speak English and supposedly have no business in America,"

Anyone else find it ironic that ICE is so concerned with 3 African tribesmen, while they turn a blind eye to the "poor dirt farmers that live in mud huts, who can't speak English and have no business in America" streaming across the Mexican border?

  1. It's our government.  It is not supposed to make sense.

  2. Stay away from my bush, and we'll all be fine.

    * covers it and runs away *

  3. The whole thing doesn't make sense to me.

They have responsible sponsors (the staff of the museum) who would make sure they were taken care of and follow the rules of their visa.

They were invited in for a specific time-limited purpose, they would have been well "chaperoned", and the museum staff took responsibility for them.  Why weren't they allowed visa?

    Who knows.  Stuff happens.
