Bushnell’s Recent Competitions: “Power Drive Test by Bushnell”
Recently, Bushnell ran a series of competitions for Ladies European Tour fans. The competitions received great response from the fans and showed their interest in the recent tournaments.
The competitions spanned two tournaments, asking the fans to guess a certain performance statistic about the players. The competition served to highlight the fans’ participation and proved to be a great outlet for the fans’ involvement.
The first competition was held during the UniCredit Ladies German Open presented by Audi.
The question asked was: “Which player will hit the most powerful drive during the UniCredit Ladies German Open presented by Audi?”
The entries named many players. The majority of the entries named the Swedish player, Sophie Gustafson. She received 34% votes. Sophie Gustafson did not disappoint her fans.
She hit the longest drive in the third round in the front nine. She recorded a distance of 330 yards.
Carly Booth, the Scottish player, was second with a 309 yard drive in the second round. She also got the third position, with a 305 yard drive in the first round.
The second competition by Bushnell came in the Raiffenseinbank Prague Masters. This added a twist to the event which saw Melissa Reid winning an emotional first place.
The question that Bushnell asked the golf fans was: “Which player will hit the most powerful drive during the Raiffenseinbank Prague Masters?”
The votes were revealed Carly Booth leading the list with 24% votes. Next was Laura Davies with 21% votes. Laura Davies surprised everyone with a 315 yards drive in the final round.
The winners of both the competitions came from America. Each got new Bushnell Pro 1M Laser Rangefinder, a very important piece of gear for any golfer, pro or amateur.
The competitions also highlighted the fact that women golfers can hit the ball hard. During both the events, the mean drive length was 270 yards, an impressive feat in pro golf.
The competition also offered an insight into the fan following of the LET. The entries totalled 800, which showed the enthusiasm of the fans and their interest in the players’ statistics.
