I have a interview this Friday with the NBA store in Manhattan, and the lady told me to wear business casual. At first i thought she meant a business suit but someone told me its not a business suit and for every company its different attire so if someone can give me some links or pictures for a business casual attire to wear to NBA store interview i will greatly appreciate it. thanx in advance

  1. kakis and a polo shirt.

  2. What do the regular staff wear in that shop?

Check it out, then dress one level up (that is, if they wear t-shirts, wear a polo; if they wear polos, wear an open neck collared shirt).

The link below has a 'virtual tour' of the store, and from what I can see, the staff wear comfortable but smart clothes, certainly not totally casual, I would say more 'relaxed'.

    Good luck!

    Cheers :-)

  3. On website you can look at that has 'business casual' is www.dockers.com.  The have a section under men's that is 'shop by occasion' - work.  They have good examples of business casual.

Every company has different standards on business casual, but you never want to under dress for an interview.  When my company (Wallstreet Firm) was thinking of going casual Friday, Dockers sent catalogs on their business casual line.  For most worker bees it was khakis and polo shirts, but for supervisors/management they stressed button up shirts (no ties) and sport coats.

  4. Wear slacks and either a dress shirt (with or with out tie) OR a nice polo shirt tucked in.  Wear a belt.

The polo is what I would wear.  Dont worry no jackets :)

  5. For a female something like this here... and if you are a male.. then some smart pants.. not jeans.. black or dark blue.. and a polo  shirt , no  tie and you could wear a light jacket... in case it's cool.. something matching with the color of your trousers and if you wear black pants your shoes should be black if you wear brown.. they should be brown.. the socks should be dark as well if you wear black pants...It doesn't  have to be a blazer.. you don't need to wear a suit.. it can be black pants and a dark blue blazer.. for example and black shoes and socks.. neat appearance.. if it's hot you don't need to bother with a jacket at all and no tie.. but a I would pick a blue or a beige polo shirt.. not bright red or a white one... x
