Business cards for a professional nanny...need help please?

I babysat for an out of town family at a local hotel in Washington DC, and the front desk man asked if I had a business card that he could give guests if they asked for a local babysitter.

I have business cards, but they state my address (which I don't want an out of town guest to know). So, my question is... What should I put on a business card keeping in mind it is going to someone who doesn't know my experience, age, schooling, ANYTHING?? Please help. I need this by tmrw. Thanks!!

  1. I agree about the address don't put that on there - but you do need a phone number maybe even get a special line for this - try using only your first name and last initial also.   i don't think i would include my age unless they ask when they call - put your experience - schooling did it include some kind of child care?  If so include if not then don't.  and also include availability.

    Good Luck

  2. * Your name

    * Telephone number

    * E-mail address

    * A benefit in the form of a tag line. For example:

    Last minute child care services for visiting guests.

    OR

    Have a night out... your kids will still have fun.

    Last minute child care services for visiting guests.

    OR

    Fun for the kids + A night out for you = ME

    Last minute child  care services for visiting guests.

    (I chose the 'last minute' angle because that's how I found my current babysitter.)

    Good luck!

  3. Keep it simple. all you need is-

    -your name (and give yourself a title, ie professional nanny)

    -cell phone number (put: cell: 240-555-1234 so they know its your cell and make sure your voice mail message is professional)

    -email address so they can refer you to friends for advance scheduling) create a separate account if you need to to keep it professional

    -tag line like "ten years of experience caring for children of all ages" or something descriptive

    All the best.

  4. I would put:

    Name

    Phone Number

    Years of Experience

    *Professional* email address

    If you are CPR certified

    Languages spoke

    that kind of stuff
