Is it fair that companies show their support for a candidate? Why ask such as question? Well If you re an employer and you hire people not base on race, s*x, color and so on, is this the same as who that person is voting for? Why would I work for a company that supports a candidate other then who I think should win? Company like KIA and CNG both support Obama. Should they being doing this? My employer won't let me were a button of my candidate

  1. Companies aren't under any pressure to avoid support for a candidate. Let's face it, where would Bush be without Exxon? And, Coors has never disguised its conservative support. So why are you singling out a few companies that support Obama?

There is a local coffee shop ( a business) that has a McCain placard in the window. Are you contending that they lose their right to free speech becuase they are a business?

  2. Industries form trade associations to support candidates, since companies are not allowed to give large amounts to poltical campaigns.

The Trial Lawyers' Association had a 24/7 party suite in Denver for the convention, complete with cocaine and hookers!

  3. They shouldn't bring politics into work period.

And if your worry about working for people or with people who support a candidate that you don't, your going to be in the unemployment line.

  5. Its a matter of freedom of speech.

Nobody is forcing you to work anywhere either.

So if you dont like what the company is doing, change jobs.

Everyone has a right to express their opnion, no matter how flawed biased incorrect or just plain stupid it may be.

    lol

But i personally think its more a bad choice on the part of the companies than a matter of right or wrong. Its bad marketing to get into politcs with your business.

  6. It goes both ways, Demo or Repub, as far as companies backing.

Your last comment gets a thumbs up.

  7. I don't agree with the endorsements from major companies at all.   The should be held like the churches across this land; you can't tell your members who to vote for.

  8. I guess they have a lot of money to pay more taxes.  I would ask for a raise!!!!!
