Busted for no insurance in KY - 1st offense.. what's it gonna cost me?

I must show up for court. Im guilty, but do i need a lawyer? Total what am i looking at?

Make sure your insurance is current before your court date, and bring proof to court.

My guess is the reason they are making you appear is to give you the opportunity to show you are now insured. I wouldn't waste the money on an attorney at this point.

It is common for judges to dismiss these tickets if you can show proof. However, it is not guaranteed, like the other poster makes it seem.

All you have to do is go get insurance and they'll throw it out of court. You don't even have to go to court, just go get your insurance and take a copy of your paper work to the da's office and she/he'll dismiss it
