  1. I was born there :]

Unfortunately, I can't really tell you much about it, because i only go back to visit once every couple of years, but i will do my best.

Will you have a mode of transportation? It will help a lot if you do, although driving in Italy is quite dangerous...

I can guarantee you that there are plenty of places to shop. It is connected to many cities that have shopping plazas. Gallarate, one neighboring city, has a huge town plaza with many brand name stores. You will also find many restaurants in Busto, even those where you can sit back and people watch while sipping expresso. There is a pizza place nearby somewhere called "La Ruota" (the wheel), which is the the pizza hotspot for the locals. Be sure to try some pizza while you are there, because it is amazing!!!!

The nightlife is pretty good too. There are a lot of clubs in the area. Not sure on exact names.

Also, there is a very pretty city about 25- 30 minutes away called Varese. Not only does it have really nice scenery, it also has tons of stores and restaurants.

Lake Como, home of George Clooney, is nearby. The lake is gorgeous, and there is a great view of all the mansions. You can have picnics there or rent boats to take out on the lake.

There are also a lot of old churches to see, if you are into those older, ancient things to visit.

If you have time to travel while yo uare there, I highly suggest taking a drive to the Swiss Alps (which you can see VERY well from the city you will be in). The drive is about an hour, to one hour and a half, depending on where you want to go. The mountain villages are beautiful, and give you the chance to relax and try great Italian food. Also, you are about an hour away from Milan, the fashion capital :] About 4-5 hours away is Florence and 5-6 is Pisa. There is plenty of history and sights in all three of those cities.

Just the fact that you are going to Italy will guarantee you a good time there. Italians are fun loving people that will gladly welcome you there. Just don't get in their way or else they'll probably start yelling at you... but never take anything personally. They have naturally bad tempers, but will easily forgive you, and most likely forget they were even in a fight within a few minutes of it. The city itself is pretty much like any other city: safe during the day, as well as night, but be a little more careful at night.

Well, i've helped you with what i can remember, so all i can say now is, i hope you have fun, and for whatever reason you're going, i hope you enjoy yourself!!!!

  2. hi! i'm italian, sorry but i don't speak english very well!

i live in como, that is near to busto arsizio.

busto arsizio is between milan and varese.

it's a small town, but it's nice and quiet!!

if you want you can visit olso milan, varese and como!busto arsizio distants about 20 minuts to milan, about 10 minuts to varese and about 30 minuts to como!

you can move by bus or train to the other cities!

    good trip!ciao

  3. i know it, because a friend of mine lives there...

well actually it's nothing special... just a little town near Varese and Milano.

to go to milan you can get the train from there and you will arrive in about 20mins...

but anyway, i'm sure you will find typical italian hospitality and nice food at every corner!!!

the center of the town, as i remember good, it's quite crowded and there are nice shops!!!
